K. Rain Leander began studying and fell in love with modern dance at the University of Southern Mississippi where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1998, earning an assortment of honors, awards and scholarships in the process.

Since graduating, Rain has danced with Memphis Dance Theatre, Kris Cangelosi Dance Project, Beacon Dance, Ondine and Company, Duende Dance, Choreo Collective and Niki Juralewicz, to name a few. She began producing her own work in 2001 as part of One-Third Productions, founding RDG a year later as an outlet for other new and young dance and art professionals.
